• Review of "Willard Elementary School" at South Elgin

  I really did enjoy this school as a child, minus the stalls that were so small everyone could see you going to the bathroom, and the very old playground. my teachers were nice and I learned a lot. The reason I'm giving it one star is because I've been hearing some pretty disturbing things lately and it upsets me that no one is taking action. my God son goes to this school and he is a very polite little boy but I will admit he doesn't always like to share but school is a place where you learn things like that. His teacher on the other hand gets very frustrated with him and tells the other children that is is "a very bad boy" and I don't think it's appropriate for her to bully him, you're there to teach him. I know she's not there to parent him but telling his classmates that he's a very bad boy has isolated him because the other kids don't want to get in trouble for playing with him so it takes away from him being able to learn better social skills. the other thing that REALLY upset me was that a family friends children all go to the school and one of her older sons (no older than 8) told us that his teacher said Santa Claus isn't really. She has no place saying that. you can believe that children should know you're true meaning of Christmas but if it is not your child you have no right to tell them something like that. I'm not sure what is going on but I'm going to be sure to find the names of these teachers so this can be addressed and it's sad that the parents feel intimated by the school so they can't really say anything but enough is enough.

• Review of "Primrose School of South Elgin" at South Elgin

  Our daughter spent 16 months at Primrose School of South Elgin. The Primrose curriculum, teachers, and support staff are nothing short of amazing! My daughter LOVED going to school and she learned so much. Although we had to move out of state, the teachers and staff tat Primrose of South Elgin have become an extension of our family. I didn't cry the first day we dropped our daughter off, but I sobbed when we had to say goodbye. We will miss them!
